The Dabah Expedition is a full-day, point-to-point journey linking the rugged canyons of northern Fujairah to the agricultural heartlands of southern Ras al Khaimah. This route is a hidden gem of the Hajar, combining sedimentary gorges, oasis farms, and traditional mountain villages.
Starting from Wadi Dahir, just opposite the historic Al Henna trail, hikers descend through smooth sedimentary canyons and pass farms shaded by date palms. The path then weaves through a series of back-road villages, connecting Wadi Busserah and Wadi Sena, where traditional stone houses and terraced fields still dot the landscape.
The trail’s most demanding section comes in the final hours, with a steep climb up and over a ridge before dropping into Wadi Sidr and finishing in the expansive basin of Wadi Ar Ar, with distant views toward Tayyibah. This is a route for experienced hikers ready to explore a rarely traveled cross-emirate corridor.
