Following the highway to Mleiha and past the red sand dune mountains of Faya, lies Wadi Al Lyat, a hidden gem awaiting exploration in Southern Ras al Khaimah. Wadi Al Lyat is one of three main dams in the area, which also includes the renowned Shawka Dam. A covered picnic areas along the highway sit at the foot of the wadi and the surrounding hills of Jebel Halah.

Day Hike
- 7:00 AM: Meet at the ADNOC| Taybah (656) Mleiha Sharjah gas station, convoy to Wadi al Lyat once registration has been completed
- 7:40 AM: Park, begin the hike
- 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM: Finish Hike

Sunset Hike
- 3:00 PM: Meet at the ADNOC| Taybah (656) Mleiha Sharjah gas station, convoy to Wadi al Lyat once registration has been completed
- 3:40 PM: Park vehicles, brief introduction and begin hike
- 5:10 AM - 5:40 PM: Finish Hike

- 1-2 liters of water (DEC – MAR) | 2-3 liters of water (for the rest of the months).
- Salted snacks and/or fruit for a few hours of hiking with a little extra.
- Hiking boots or trainers with good grip/not worn out.
- Shorts or comfortable hiking pants/leggings.
- T-shirt light pullover for sun protection/warmth in the morning/evening.
- Trekking poles (optional to help with balance or mitigate fatigue).
