We can't get enough of Oman, so we are expanding our itineraries to our lush and culturally rich neighbour this summer with more options for you to explore and map out this exciting space of the Middle East. And, the best part of this is that it's just one border crossing away and you can be back in time for the start of the week, but with a pocketful of memories made in a short space of time.
Wadi Tiwi and Dimaniyat Islands Tour
On this short, but exciting tour into Oman you get the opportunity to have a quick tour of the historical city of Muscat including a sunset cruise on a traditional Omani dow on the evening of your arrival.
You will then spend the next two days canyoning through the gorgeous blue Wadi Tiwi, blown away by its mystique rock formations and glistening blue pools. Then head off to the Dimaniyat Islands where the turquoise ocean kisses the azure sky, for a chance to snorkel and immerse in the beauty and bounty of the Gulf of Oman.
Day 1: Arrival & Muscat Exploration
Your journey begins with your arrival in Muscat, the capital city of Oman where we will start off with a city tour by visiting the Royal Opera House, a stunning example of contemporary Omani architecture and one of the premier cultural landmarks in the region. Next, make a photo stop at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a masterpiece of Islamic design and one of the largest mosques in the Middle East.
Afterwards, we  travel to the historic coastal district of Muttrah, where you’ll board a traditional Omani dhow for a relaxing sunset cruise. Sail across calm turquoise waters, taking in the beauty of Muscat’s coastline as the sun dips below the horizon.
Back on land, enjoy a peaceful stroll along the Muttrah Corniche, lined with palm trees and stunning sea views. Snap photos at Al Alam Palace, the ceremonial palace of His Majesty, before diving into the colorful chaos of the Muttrah Souq, one of the oldest marketplaces in the Arab world. Browse spices, incense, textiles, and local treasures.
End the evening with dinner at a local restaurant before heading to your hotel for the night.
Day 2: Canyoning in Wadi Tiwi
Fuel up with breakfast at your hotel and prepare for an adventurous day in the wild beauty of Wadi Tiwi, one of Oman’s lushest and most scenic wadis. Today’s experience includes hiking, swimming, and canyoning through palm-lined trails, turquoise pools, and dramatic rock formations. Surrounded by towering cliffs and natural water channels, Wadi Tiwi is a hidden gem that blends adrenaline with awe-inspiring nature.
You'll spend a few hours navigating through the wadi’s terrain—sliding into pools, scrambling over rocks, and soaking in the lush greenery of the area.
In the evening, you will return to Muscat. The night is yours to relax at the hotel or enjoy the capital at your leisure—perhaps with a seaside dinner or a stroll through one of Muscat’s serene neighbourhoods.
Day 3: Snorkeling at the Dimaniyat Islands & Departure
On your final day, set out early for a half-day marine excursion to the Dimaniyat Islands, a pristine marine reserve off the coast of Muscat. Hop aboard a boat and cruise across clear blue waters to the islands, known for their vibrant coral reefs and abundant marine life. Spend your time swimming, snorkeling, and exploring, with the chance to spot turtles, rays, and colorful reef fish in their natural habitat.
After this refreshing escape to nature, return to Muscat by midday. Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll have time for a quick freshen-up or local snack before heading to the airport— ending your short but unforgettable Omani adventure.
