ECC Adventures is proud to be a registered coordinator for this year’s ‘Sheikh Sultan Award for Celebrating the Spirit of Youth in the United Arab Emirates’.
The award is open to UAE citizens and residents aged between 13-18. Consisting of 4 categories (Adventures, Fitness & well-being, volunteering and Skills), you can compete to earn Bronze, Silver or Gold awards by completing the required number of categories per award.
If you or your school are taking part in this year’s award and are looking for a coordinator to complete the ADVENTURE category, look no further than ECC Adventures.
As part of the Adventure section each participant is required to undertake an expedition that includes camping in a natural location with physical challenges during the day.
Whether you are aiming for Gold, Silver or Bronze, we can help you achieve your requirements to complete the Adventure category which is mandatory for all awards.

Note: You can register even if your child is not looking to earn a Sheikh Sultan Award by registering for the 3-day programme. Our winter camp will offer various life-skills that every child should learn.
GOLD Medal
Duration: 5 days & 4 nights

All programs share Days 1–3, with additional advanced options for Day 4–5 for Silver and Gold Award levels.

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL & JEBEL MEBRAH SUNSET HIKE
Jebel Mebrah (Jebel Yibir) – Beginner+ (4/10)
- Distance: 8 km
- Elevation: 230 m
- Time: 2.5–3.5 hours
Schedule
- Arrive at farmhouse by lunchtime
- Safety briefing, gear check, and camp setup
- 5:00 PM – Start hike
- 7:30–8:30 PM – Finish
- Dinner & campfire introduction night
- Digital detox orientation & leadership grouping
DAY 2 – GEOTREK LOOP (PARTIAL ROUTE)
Difficulty: Intermediate (6/10)
- Distance: 7 km (partial)
- Elevation Gain: 410 m
- Time: 3.5–4.5 hours
- Trail type: Loop

DAY 3 – AL HENNA CANYON TRAIL RETRACE

DAY 4 – ADVANCED OPTIONS (SILVER & GOLD)
Option A – Caves of Yabir (Advanced Intermediate)
Difficulty: Intermediate (6/10)
- Distance: 8.5 km
- Elevation: 250 m
- Time: 4–5 hours
- Terrain: Boulders, height exposure, steep descents

- 12:15–1:15 PM – Finish
- Afternoon: Survival skills + leadership challenges

Option B – Beginner Rock Climbing (Taween)

DAY 5 – STUDENT-LED EXPEDITION
