Wilderness First Responder

ECC Adventures is excited to be bringing Wilderness First Responder (WFR)  Courses to the UAE!

These courses are offered by the Wilderness Medical Associates International, and provides essential training in wilderness medicine, leadership, and critical thinking for those leading who venture out into outdoor, low resource and remote environments.

We are offering 2 courses to help you be better prepared in the wild.

1) Wilderness First Aid (WFA) – a 2-day course (1,750 AED)

An introductory medical training course aimed at anyone who ventures into the wild and is far from professional medical assistance or emergency services. Suitable for hikers, guides and  outdoor professionals.

2) Hybrid Wilderness First Responder (HWFR) – (4,500 AED)

The course is hybrid, meaning you can follow the 30+ hour e-learning section from anywhere in the world and then take part in the in-person learning section which is approximately 45+ hours of practical learning.

We are proud to say that we were able to certify our first batch of Wilderness First Responders in the UAE in November 2024 and successfully held our 2nd certification session in September 2025.

And we are now ready to offer this course to other eager outdoor professionals who are dedicated to safety and ready to take on more responsibility when out in the wilderness.

Our next Wilderness First Responder course along with Wilderness First Aid in Dubai is scheduled for April 2026.
