Welcome to ECC Adventures’ Challenger Expedition
Inspired by some of our bold Adventure Season Pass members whose curiosity for new and advanced trails remain insatiable, and ECC Adventures’ own epic Trans Emirates Trail, The Challenger Expedition will look to offer exclusive trails to those who are looking to push themselves and break boundaries.
With only very limited memberships available in a season, The Challenger Expedition is an extension of our Season Adventure Pass, but with the opportunity to learn new skills and push oneself by participating in some of the hardest trails on this side of the Hajar mountain.
Developed through ECC Adventures’ flagship Trans Emirates Trail (TET) that we took on in March 2025 to help fundraise for Gaza with Dubai Cares and Friends of Cancer Patients in collaboration with YallaGive.com, The Challenger Expedition aims to explore parts of TET in bite sized portions.
From 1-day hikes to multi-day events, The Challenger Expedition offers one-of-a-kind trails never explored before and with new and harder hikes mapped out on our drawing board, this is your chance to reach new heights and push your personal limits in hiking.

A two-day overnight journey through the forgotten trails of the Western Hajar Mountains (Al-Ḥajar Al-Gharbī), from RAK to Fujairah
Traverse multiple trails of the first phase of ECC Adventures' flagship Trans Emirates Trail. This ultimate 6 days adventure starts from 'Stairway to Heaven' in Ras Al Khaimah and ends at the Sheria caves in Fujairah stretching over 115 Km in total.
This Rak to Fujairah Traverse is a 3-day expedition linking some of the most iconic and technical sections of ECC Adventures' flagship Trans Emirates Trail, beginning deep in the canyons of Wadi Naqab and culminating in Fujairah.
From the legendary Stairway to Heaven ascent in Wadi Ghalilah, to the rugged corridors of Wadi Al Far, and the cultural immersion of abandoned mountain villages above Wadi Bih, this is the flagship ECC Adventures expedition for experienced trekkers.
Spanning nearly 34 km across Sharjah, Ras al Khaimah, and Dubai, Al Minazif to Hatta ExpeditionIt is a demanding route designed only for seasoned trekkers ready to endure a long day on foot through valleys, canyons, and rugged mountain ascents.
The Jebel Yis Expedition takes you across one of Fujairah’s most diverse and rewarding valleys, moving from the sedimentary shaded waterways of Wadi Sidr and Wadi Ar Ar to the fertile oasis of Maydaq.
The Jebel Al Ghunah Expedition is a powerful combination of rugged physical challenge and cultural discovery — linking living mountain communities with the archaeological heartland of Wadi Al Helo.
The Dabah Expedition is a full-day, point-to-point journey linking the rugged canyons of northern Fujairah to the agricultural heartlands of southern Ras al Khaimah. This route is a hidden gem of the Hajar, combining sedimentary gorges, oasis farms, and traditional mountain villages.
The Jebel Hamri Expedition is a demanding single-day trek that links the historic village of Ain Al Sheria with Wadi Dahir, crossing the rugged ridgelines and dramatic escarpments of Fujairah’s Geotrek route.

Jais Western Ridge Expedition is a 1 day challenging trek on the new Highlander route in Ras Al Khaimah tracing a scenic ridge over the western face of the Hajar Mountains. Reserved for Advanced hikers.
