Fujairah Adventure Park
Fujairah Adventure Park offers a great introductory hike as it is a relatively beginner trail, with scenic viewpoints right outside of the city. You will begin either along the incline trail upwards or the reverse route, through the dam area and into the tunnel.
Along the way, your guides will discuss aspects of the ecosystems, including the area’s hidden biological diversity and adaptations to harsh, arid environments, as well as some local cultural history as well. It’s not uncommon to encounter some of the region’s plentiful flora and fauna including foxes, owls, snakes, scorpions, and more. After the summit, the descent will head towards the old settlements and the “gecko tunnel”, or back to the reception area of the park.
ABOUT FUJAIRAH ADVENTURE PARK
Fujairah Adventure Park, under Fujairah Adventure Centre, has reopened its doors to the public. The attraction first opened in 2019 as a standalone skate park with a 1,800-square-meter asphalt pump track. It soon closed in 2020 in order to continue the expansion of its facilities (with completion delayed due to the pandemic).
UAE residents can now rent out cycles and practice their jumps on a series of four mud or wooden trails, as well as the Flow Gravity Trails. The Park is also home to a climbing wall and a children’s play area for skilled young cyclists. Other facilities include washrooms, a bike rental, a first-aid room, and Coffee Box shop, with indoor and outdoor seating. Hiking trails encircle the park as a figure-8. To the north, construction for the new “Etihad” railway can be found taking place.
