Schedule Cape Town: Table Mountain & Lion’s Head Hiking Tour

Day 1 (April 30): Upon settling down after your arrival, we will head to the beautiful Llandudno Beach for “sundowners,” where you may enjoy a drink of your choice and view one of the beach’s famed sunsets.

Day 2 (May 1): Enjoy a half-day hike exploring the famous Table Mountain. Known for its ecological diversity and unique vegetation, the mountain boasts over 1500 different plant species. The hike will showcase unbelievable views of The Mother City, its beaches, and the rest of the peninsula.

Spend the rest of the day taking a tour of Cape Town with all it has to offer. Explore the shops of Long, Loop, and Kloof Street. Visit the V&A Waterfront, enjoy its fantastic restaurants, and take in some more great views.

Day 3 (May 2): Spend a full day exploring the Cape Peninsula. This event-filled day includes visiting the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Boulders Beach (famous for the African penguin colony), the Cape Of Good Hope, and Chapman’s Peak Drive. We end the day with sunset at Camps Bay, with plenty of options for restaurants and sundowners.

Cederberg Wilderness Road Trip

Day 4 (continued): After the sunrise hike up Lion’s Head on Day 4, we will embark on a road trip 2 hours north to the Cederberg. The dramatic landscape is completely different to Cape Town: wilder, warmer, and with a raw, natural beauty. Here we will visit the Stadsaal caves where you can admire and photograph delicate Bushman rock art. This is followed by a swim in some rock pools and some delicious Potjiekos (South African stew).

Day 5 (May 4): We will begin with a morning hike that includes a sunrise over a striking red rock and bit of fun adventurous scrambling. Then we venture to the Wolfberg Arch, one of the largest rock formations in South Africa. The Cederberg is known for its amazing rock formations, and the Wolfberg Cracks will not disappoint.

Day 6 (May 5): We will spend one night at the Kagga Kamma Nature Reserve, located in an untouched wilderness area in the Cederberg. Kagga Kamma is equally unique in that it offers guests experiences and facilities they will not find anywhere else.

A truly magical place.

Day 7 (May 6): Wake up easy in the Kagga Kamma, and after breakfast we’ll slowly make our way back to Cape Town, filled with great memories and a sense of adventure.
